Inclusion criteria
An organization was included when it met all core criteria below.
- Non-state operation: the organization had to be privately or civil-society operated. Public funding did not lead to exclusion, provided the organization was not itself a state agency or directly state controlled.
- Male-focused purpose: the organization had to explicitly address men and/or boys, male-specific topics, or a clearly defined male-focused program, unit, or service.
- Organizational scale: at least three permanent members, staff, board members, or equivalent core contributors had to be publicly identifiable. This threshold was a pragmatic operational definition used to distinguish organizations from single-person projects; it is not proposed as an official or theoretical minimum size for organizations in the field.
- Current activity: there had to be credible evidence of relevant activity within the previous 12 months, usually through website updates, events, social-media activity, reports, programs, or other public traces. Data collection period: March 23–May 3, 2026

Men Atlas is a non-profit living project. It can never be a perfect mapping of this field, as constantly new organizations are founded and others permantly end activity or officially permantly close. Please help me keep improving this project, by updating me on missing organizations meeting the above criteria!
